Billing
Subscription tiers, upgrading, managing your plan, and overage pricing.
UploadKit offers four subscription tiers. All plans include access to the full SDK and dashboard — tiers differ in storage limits, bandwidth, upload count, and project/key capacity.
Subscription tiers
| Feature | Free | Pro | Team | Enterprise |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Price | $0/mo | $15/mo | $35/mo | Custom |
| Storage | 5 GB | 100 GB | 1 TB | Unlimited |
| Bandwidth | 2 GB/mo | 200 GB/mo | 2 TB/mo | Unlimited |
| Max file size | 4 MB | 512 MB | 5 GB | 10 GB |
| Uploads/month | 1,000 | 50,000 | 500,000 | Unlimited |
| Projects | 2 | 10 | 50 | Unlimited |
| API keys | 2 | 10 | 50 | Unlimited |
| Overage billing | — | Yes | Yes | Negotiated |
Free tier accounts do not have overage billing — uploads are blocked once the monthly quota is reached. Upgrade to Pro to enable overages.
Overage pricing
Pro and Team plans continue to work after quota is reached by charging for overage usage at the end of the billing period:
| Resource | Overage rate |
|---|---|
| Storage | $0.02 per GB |
| Bandwidth | $0.01 per GB |
| Uploads | $0.001 per upload |
Overages are billed via Stripe at the end of each calendar month. You can monitor usage in real time from the Usage page to avoid unexpected charges.
Upgrading your plan
- Navigate to Billing in the sidebar
- Click Upgrade next to the plan you want
- You are redirected to Stripe Checkout
- Enter your payment details and complete the subscription
- Your account is upgraded immediately after payment
Upgrade takes effect instantly — your new limits apply as soon as the Stripe Checkout session completes.
Managing your subscription
To change your plan, update payment information, or view invoice history:
- Navigate to Billing in the sidebar
- Click Manage subscription
- You are redirected to the Stripe Billing Portal
From the Billing Portal you can:
- Upgrade or downgrade your plan
- Update payment method (credit card or bank account)
- Download invoices (PDF)
- Cancel your subscription (you keep access until the end of the billing period)
Canceling your subscription
Cancel from the Stripe Billing Portal. After cancellation:
- You retain access to your current plan until the end of the billing period
- At the end of the period, your account reverts to the Free tier
- Files exceeding the Free tier 5 GB limit are not automatically deleted — you have 30 days to remove excess files before they are flagged
Usage monitoring
The Usage page shows real-time usage for the current billing period:
- Storage — current storage used vs. your plan limit
- Bandwidth — egress from CDN this month
- Uploads — number of successful uploads this month
Usage updates within a few minutes of each upload or deletion.
Usage is tracked per account, not per project. Your 5 GB Free tier storage is shared across all projects in your account.
